I have just defragged machine. Rebooted and unable to access windows. I get as far as login, then I am logged out at once. Tried to get into safe mode but same result whn trying to access administrator icon. Using xp sp2. No original windows disc. Can anyone help me?

I just have the recovery disc supplied with the machine. I dont have a hidden partition as far as i know. Certainly I have not created one on purposeBe ALERT - The world needs more LERTS0

Try this first it contains a lot of tools that may help fix the problem.
If all else fails then you may have to run the recovery disc but normally you lose all you files, pictures etc...0
