The IWC Autographed Racing Gloves Contest

How to play
IWC is proposing its “Autographed Racing Gloves Contest” for IWC and racing enthusiasts. The aim is to inspire individuals to involve themselves in IWC’s initiatives.
From those who register for the Contest and who answer a question concerning IWC and its racing initiatives correctly, IWC shall, at random choose one winning entry. The individual chosen as the winner shall receive a unique prize – a pair of racing gloves by Lewis Hamilton and autographed by him.

Contest Period
The contest (hereinafter referred to as the “Contest”) will start on 23rd of October, 2014 at 10am Central European Time (CET) and will close on 11th of December, 2014 at 10am Central European Time (CET) (hereafter the “Contest Period”).
During the Contest Period, entrants to the Contest (hereinafter referred to as “Entrants”) will be asked to (hereafter the “Entry”).

Contest Rules
1. These Participation Rules (hereinafter referred to as “Rules”) apply to the Contest. By entering the Contest, Entrants expressly agree to be bound by these Rules.

2. The Contest is promoted and organized by IWC, Branch of Richemont International S.A., (hereinafter referred to as “IWC”).

3. These Contest Rules are only available in English and are displayed on the Contest page available on https://www.facebook.com/IWCWatches/app_166307463503287. If you do not understand the Contest Rules then you should not participate.

4. The Contest is exclusively viewable on IWC’s official Facebook page at the following webpage address: https://www.facebook.com/IWCWatches/app_166307463503287. In order to participate in the Contest, each Entrant must first enter IWC’s official Facebook page. They must then register for the Contest via the special Contest Registration Form page found therein.

5. Any changes to the Rules will be posted on IWC’s official Facebook page at the web address noted above.

6. This Contest shall be void where prohibited by local law.

Qualifying Entrants
7. The Contest is NOT open to minors and to qualify to enter the Contest you must be of legal age (for example, over 18 in most countries). By entering the Contest, you warrant that you have the legal capacity to enter the Contest and accept the Contest Rules (i.e. that you are of sufficient age and mental capacity and are entitled to be legally bound by a contract).

8. Employees and immediate family members of employees of IWC and their associated companies, professional advisors, advertising and promotional agencies connected with the creation or administration of the Contest are not eligible to take part in the Contest. IWC reserves the right to verify the eligibility of all Entrants.

9. There is no purchase requirement to participate in the Contest, and there is no charge to register for the Contest which is available on Facebook other than the usual Internet connection charges payable to your service provider and/or telephone company if any.

10. By participating in the Contest, Entrants hereby warrant that all personal details submitted by them are true, current and complete and that the e-mail addresses submitted are accurate and valid.

11. IWC reserves the right to disqualify any Entrant if it has reasonable grounds to believe the Entrant has breached any of the Contest Rules.

The Contest – Submissions
12. How to Enter – in order to enter the Contest, Entrants must first register on Facebook.

13. Selection. During the Contest Period, Entrants must then register for the Contest via the registration page shown at https://www.facebook.com/IWCWatches/app_166307463503287, entering in their name, email address, phone number, postal code, city and country of residence. By ticking the box “Enter Contest”, Entrants acknowledge their acceptance of the Rules. Once fully registered, the Entrant will be prompted to answer a question concerning IWC and automobile racing (hereafter the “Question”). The Entrant must then answer the question via the means provided. Only those Entrants who have answered the Question correctly will be considered by IWC as potential Entrants to receive the prize.

14. The odds of winning depend on the number of eligible Entries received.

15. Entrants understand and acknowledge they are providing information to IWC and not to Facebook. In addition, the Contest is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with Facebook.

16. IWC reserves the right to use the name and image of the Entrant chosen by IWC as the person to receive the prize (hereafter the “Winner”). Such use will only be for purposes of promoting the Contest through postings on the IWC home website, on IWC's official social media sites and through in-store and out-of-store multimedia exhibitions after the Contest.

17. The selection for the Prize (as defined below) will take place on or before 11th of December, 2014 and shall consist of the following: once the Contest Period has ended, IWC shall gather all entries in which the Entrant has answered the Question correctly. From this pool of entries, IWC shall select one Entrant by random. This Entrant will be deemed the Winner. .

18. Data entered and automatically sent and entries generated by technical manipulation are excluded from the selection for the Prize.

Prize
19. There is only one prize to be won. The Winner will receive as a prize a pair of racing gloves, worn during a race by Lewis Hamilton, and autographed by him (hereafter the “Prize”).
20. All extra costs, including any incidental costs are excluded from the Prize and must be borne by the Winner. Anything not specifically mentioned above is not included in the Prize.

21. The Winner will be announced on IWC’s official Facebook page. IWC will also notify the Winner by email using the email address submitted by them.

22. If the Prize is declined or unclaimed by the Winner, or if the Winner cannot be contacted based on the details provided by him/her within one (1) business day from the notification, a replacement Winner may be selected at IWC’s discretion and will be notified by IWC. The original entry that was selected will then be forfeited.

23. If for whatever reason the winning Entrant is not able to accept the Prize, IWC will select a new winning Entrant by reviewing the number of votes accumulate by other submitted images.

24. The Prize is personally attributed and not transferable. There is no cash alternative for the Prize. The Prize is awarded at IWC’s entire discretion, and no Prize will be awarded as a result of improper actions by or on behalf of any Entrant.

25. In his/her capacity as a winner of the Contest, the Winner expressly agrees to making himself/herself available to participate in any event organized around the presentation and execution of the Prize, at the expense of IWC, in particular to being filmed, interviewed and photographed by IWC. The Winner also expressly agrees that all film, photographs and interview material taken may be used by IWC on different media supports for communication and marketing purposes in relation to IWC including use on IWC’s official social media platforms.

Liability
26. IWC does not accept liability for any damage, loss, pain or suffering incurred by any Entrant entering the Contest. IWC is not responsible for any problems with local postal services or technical faults, be they in networks or telephone lines, computer systems, servers or suppliers, mobile telephones or computer equipment or software failing of any e-mail system or entry form received due to technical problems or to congestion related to the Internet, telephone lines or any website, or any combination thereof, including any damage or prejudice to the Entrant’s telephone, computer or to any other person or mobile linked with or related to participation in or downloading of material on IWC’s website, be it related to the Contest or not.

27. IWC will not accept responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission or mail delivery, communications-line failure, theft, destruction, alteration of, or unauthorized access to entries, or entries lost or delayed whether or not arising during operation or transmission as a result of server functions, viruses, bugs or other causes outside its control.

28. IWC reserves the right to cancel, withdraw or modify the Contest and/or the Contest Rules at any time without prior notice to Entrants, for any reason and without any liability. No indemnity will be paid or due by IWC as a result of such cancellation and/or modification.

29. Entrants provide a complete release of liability to Facebook regarding the Contest ..

Data Protection and Publicity
31. IWC reserves the right and the Entrant expressly agrees that Entrant may use the name and/or pseudonym of the Winner and/or all photographs and digital recordings taken of the Winner as may be produced by IWC. Use may include use on the Internet, such as on IWC's official website, on its official social network pages including but not limited to Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and all Photograph, publicity, magazines, catalogues and the like.

32. The Entrant grants IWC, the non-exclusive rights of use and dissemination free of charge in any media whatsoever, including the right, if necessary to reproduce the Winner’s name, likeness, voice or any other attribute of their personality as it appears in any recording film, photograph etc. whether taken during the granting of the Prize or otherwise.

33. IWC will store Entrants’ entry details in connection with this Contest solely for the purpose of this Contest, unless Entrant has given permission for additional use, and in accordance with the rules of the Swiss Federal Data Protection Act. IP addresses of internet users having participated in the Contest will also be collected solely for the purpose of preventing fraud in connection with the Contest.

Applicable law
34. In the event of any dispute regarding the Rules, conduct, results and all other matters relating to the Contest, IWC’s decision shall be final and no correspondence or discussion shall be entered into.

35. For all other matters the Rules shall be governed and construed in accordance with Swiss law. Disputes arising in connection with these Rules shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent Swiss courts.

36. Winner and Contact Information: Any questions or comments regarding this Contest must be directed to the sponsor of the Contest, IWC, not Facebook. To obtain the name of the Contest winner, send a self-addressed stamped envelope to: IWC “Lewis Hamilton GLOVE COMPETITION”, IWC Schaffhausen, branch of Richemont International S.A., Baumgartenstrasse 15, 8200 Schaffhouse, Switzerland, Switzerland. Attn: Andreas Ringli, Social Media, after 12th December, 2014. Requests received after 90 days following the end of the Contest Period may not be fulfilled.
