"Click" Fit Kitchen Cabinets

Hi.
Just wondering if anyone has any experience of Click-Fit Kitchen Cabinets eg. Cooke and Lewis (B and Q). They're the one that can be built from flat pack but don't require any glue.
I have been told (from another seller) that they are stronger than the equivalent Dowel and Glue type but have reservations.

TIA
Mandy

The best kitchen I've ever put together was an Ikea flat pack kitchen. Would definitely recommend them.

He's telling you a load of nonsense. A quality rigid kitchen will be dowelled and glued together on a jig and thats an assurance that the carcases will be square every time. Any other other form of assembly is prone to imperfection. Not saying they will be out of square but too much error can creep in causing out of square carcases.

  • Agree about rigid carcasses but I'm asking about "click" build flat packs. The Ikea is not a click-fit!

  • If B&Q click fit are so good. Why are all top end kitchens rigid?

Just another thought you won't want to hear.
  • I never said B and Q click are "so good", I'm asking!
Yes, all top end cabinets may be rigid but you pay for it!

And you get what you pay for.

The click fit stuff is ok but it moves and because the structure isn't enforced by dowels etc it moves a lot sooner and further then traditional rigid construction.
  • I was particularly interested in their strength/quality versus dowel and glue NOT rigid (which as has been stated, are in a different price bracket!)

You should have gone to Specsavers! - that compared clic to rigid. I want click to dowel and glue!

  • dowel and glued is rigid. Havent seen the new click cabinets from cooke and lewis yet but the old cook and lewis cabinets had very bad cam and dowel connections making them pretty poor cabinets
