Transfer between RBS and Barclays

Hi

Anyone help - how long does a bank transfer (made via telephone banking) take between two different banks?

It's left the sender's account and RBS said should be up to a couple of hours. That was 7.40am :mad:

Account number and sort code checked and all fine. It's for £1850

They have until the end of the next business days to get the money to the recipient but it doesn't usually take that long.

If it's the first time you've transferred between those accounts, I believe RBS will make the transfer on the next working day.

Spot on telephone banking will dairise 1st payments until the next working day.
