A) I didn't remember it was there.
As a human being I have the right to put anything I like in plain view unattended and expect it not to be stolen. When I give my bag to an airline, I expect them to be responsible for it and it's contents.
A crime can never be described as the victim's fault.

That is a very naive POV. If you left your house unlocked would you still accept no responsibility if you got burgled? I don't think your insurance company would share your view.Accept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0 -
You have very high expectations . . .

WOW just WOW
would you leave your keys in the ignition with the drivers door wide open and expect your car to still be there on return0 -
lol.
I think you're all missing the point and by a very wide margin. I do have to feel for those with such a dim view of life who expect to have bad things happen to them and feel responsible for letting it happen.
The world is what you make it and I think I deserve to be treated in the same manner I treat other people.

That's all well and good, but it's not how it works in this world - as your experience with your money stolen from your hand luggage shows.0 -
lol.

Of course we all deserve to be treated in the same manner we treat others, but this the real world.
I dont think anyone is missing the point and in my analagy about leaving your car door open with the keys in, try claiming from your insurance in that situation and see how far you get.
We all have to use common sense0 -

Why would you need to feel sorry for people who take responsibility for their own property? Strange.
As for 'the world is what you make it' unfortunately you have zero control over other people you may encounter, to believe that just by thinking the world is a rosy place and no-one should steal from you it won't happen is just plain stupid.Accept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0 -
