simplistic terms, WAP is dialup, GPRS is 'broadband'. If you start to make a WAP connection it will start to dial out to a number to download your WAP pages/media content and you'll be charged by the amount of time it takes to download. GPRS is more broadband like and instead you get charged bby the amount of data you transfer instead and also it's quicker. If when you download your music etc. you don't see the phone dialing then you're on GPRS, most phones are set up to use GPRS as the default setting normally now.0

Not quite true. WAP is just a way of sending information to and from phones. You can make a WAP connection by either dial-up (pay by the minute) or by GPRS (pay by data). GPRS is just a way of making a data connection.

No, you will not be charged as you have GPRS download for free.loopy_lass wrote:....I have GPRS download for free but not wap... will i be charged for downloading music onto my phone? whats the difference between them?
As mentioned in previous posts, there are two methods of accessing WAP - one is basic (dial-up) type and the other is GPRS (faster).0 -
