Brighthouse PPI Claim??

HI,
I am just looking for any information or advice whether or not I an claim back insurance premiums that have been paid on various hp agreements with Brighthouse. I have had several agreements with brighthouse ranging over the past 10 years and only recently they have changed their selling tactics. Before it was compulsory to take "optional service cover" and Damage Liability Cover with any product that you were buying on hire purchase for them. I have been told that these are indeed mis-sold and should not have been forced and I am now just looking for some information whether I can claim these payments back and if so, the best way to go about this.
Any information would be appreciated.
