eBay Returns Request

We have had our 1st returns request tonight (ever!)
Hello Marie,
xxxxx let us know that something is wrong with xxxxxx. As a result, they requested to return the item for a refund.
Next steps:
See the request details and be sure to reply to the buyer by 31 Oct, 2014. Starting on that day, the buyer can ask us to step in and help by opening a case - this can affect your seller level.
Now I thought that eBay had started to make sellers pay for the returns if it was SNAD which I guess the buyer is claiming that the item is even though it is an item that is a fixed size but it isn't clothing or jewellery - it's an accessory as they have stated in the request:
The reason stated is:
Reason: Wrong size or doesn't fit
Here's what they said:
Reason:It's the wrong size or doesn't fit
Comments: Size of X is smaller than anticipated
Now eBay have made no mention of the returns postage cost etc which I would have expected them to do so am I not liable for the cost as yet?

I'm guessing your be expected to refund the buyer, there be asked to send it back to you by a trackable method, (recorded delievery),
Hope you get it sorted ok xxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
Reason: Wrong size or doesn't fit
That's the main reason, it means you are not at fault. eg. they ordered wrong size....rather than mis-size
Not your fault they ate too many pies lol0 -

Is this a managed return? I have had more returns than usual due to the new returns system...
You need to go to your returns dashboard and do it from there.
I let Ebay send the buyers a returns label which they can print off. When the label scanned I get charged for it...
Royal Mail Tracked Returns 48 up to 2kg is £2.78
Parcelforce Worldwide Express 48 (Tracked) 2-5 kg is £7.57
On a slight tangent I have had a returned item on Amazon - not sure how much I have been charged but I want to refund the buyer minus the shipping cost...0 -
All returns are now either Managed Returns or via the new 'FLOW'.
The reason 'wrong size or doesn't fit' is buyer remorse and as such gives the seller no defect. The buyer must pay returns postage.0 -
Yes it was through managed returns but there was no option for returns postage etc so I am assuming that the buyer is returning it at their own cost.
If that happens not to be the case I will, of course, update you all.
Thank you :T0
