When I use internet explorer as my web browser I get a window pop saying an update is available for Internet Helper anti-phishing software and asks if I want to update now. I have to close down the browser as it won't let me press the cross to shut down the message. I have not pressed the yes button as I am not sure if this is a scam, can anyone help?
The message has a picture of a red shield with something in green around it and there is a white cross symbol in the middle of the shield.

Yes. It's a scam. But should be easily removed from programs and features within control panel.0
