cutting back neighbours hedge

Is it your land?
If not you have no rights to cut the hedge.
Go to the land registery and download the plan of the site showing who owns it.Minimum width of PROW
Unless stated in the definitive statement held by the local authority, the minimum width you need to keep clear by law is as follows:- 1.5 metres for a field edge footpath, or 1 metre for any other footpath
- 3 metres for a field edge bridleway, or 2 metres for any other bridleway
- 3 metres for any other type of PROW across your land

It had no link, It was not to long and I have no idea why.0 -
The highlighted bit in #10 chap.
We know about the requirements, they don't really come into it as it's a simple public footpath so requires 1.5 metres as it runs for 400 down a boundary side.
The issue we are talking about is the 30mtr track or lane between 2 houses, which is wider than the requirement, it's 2.5mtr and will be 3.5 when cut.I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.
Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)

I don't own a lane over which I have access rights, but if it were blocked by vegetation, I'd take dated photos and have it cut in the sure and certain knowledge that there would be no legal comeback.
If one has legal rights of access "at all times and for all purposes," which is the phrase in general use, that trumps any niceties about hedge trimming.0 -
I spent £3 with the land registry today to download the hedge owners title deed plan.
There are no T markings on any side of her property, that seems incomplete to me, some must be hers.
It does show a shape that corresponds to where we will cut it.
On the plan which shows the old farm and the 3 houses in question there is a symbols like this -O, without the gap. One of these points to the hedge in question but is shown on our side of the hedge in the lane??????
Anyone know what this symbol means?I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.

O fit a dot inside is a boundary stone.
O on its own is a special item.
Other than that I can add no more.0 -

Ye:beer:s, it's clear as mud to me too CCP,
To end the thread, I do try to do this with anything I have started.
We talked to her for over 40 mins.
At the start she simply was not happy and every argument in the book came out.
But, we countered with the well thought out answers that I knew we would need.
We said we would do it by next weekend, but would cut back the area around the new gate today, the installer is in on midweek.
Loving hard work we have done 2/3's from the gate area.
Just about to pack up after 3 hours she appears with a tray and 2 teas;
"Oh, it does look better:T:T, didn't realise it was so over grown"
Hedge is now minus 4ft thickness and neighbourly relations still intact
I feel the need to post a piccy, will do tomorrow.
Thanks for the advice all,I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.
