TalkTalk - Linksys modem connected but no internet - HELP!

Hello,
If someone could please please help here I'd be immensely grateful. I'm ready to shoot myself just because there doesn't appear to be anything wrong yet the damn thing's still not working!
We have two lines, both now on TalkTalk. Line 1 has been up for about a year with no problems, Line 2 (mums) just went live a couple days ago and we're having a few probs.
Anyway I thought the easiest thing to do was to connect the modem and router to Line 1 and mum could access the net via wireless leaving line 2 to be fixed later. This should have been simple enough, as the router and modem used to be on Line 2 with Tiscali and worked fine for over 2 years.
Anyway I moved everything over, connected them up and the modem connected fine. the status page even shows the IP address assigned from TalkTalk and the upstream/downstream link. But I can't get any web pages, MSN, nothing to load. It's almost like the ADSL signal is not getting past the modem to the computers.
I'm using a Linksys ADSL2MUE modem. I've tried with just the modem connected directly to the computer via ethernet, same result. Modem connects but no web pages, or anything else.
If it makes any difference I did notice the status page of the modem does not show a MAC address although it does show everything else as connected, not sure if that's a major thing or not.
Thanks so much.

Your second line wouldnt have ADSL Enabled unless your paying for it,
Perhaps your problem lies with your supplier messing something up when they connected your second line.
Id ring your supplier and get them to sort it out, Perhaps they would send an engineer.0 -
Hi,
OK for the initial problem I fixed it - TalkTalk require DNS addresses to be explicitly connected.
Note to self and everyone else, if it seems like everything's working but you're not getting web pages, check to see if you need to explicitly set the DNs addresses. I had to do it with Tiscali and it seems TalkTalk require the same. Some routers and modems don't have the option in their control panels, so you'll have to set it in the TCP/IP properties of the Wireless or Local area Network connection on each individual computer.
