Hi Everyone,
Well finally installed dishwasher today and everything seems ok (including the plumbing - it was a doddle in the end:D . Have just set it to run on empty to clean it out (bought it second hand) and on the dial that goes round there is a sun shaped symbol about half way through the cycle. Can anyone tell me what this means? Inside the dishwasher door there is the compartment for the DW tab and there is a dial next to it with two of these sun symbols on it. Not sure whether I need to turn the dial or anything for these sun symbols. DW came without instructions. Can anyone help? Its a zanussi DW 919 if that helps.
Many Thanks
Em

The sun symbol usually means rinse aid, and if it lights up on my DW it means the DW needs more rinse aid. Don't know if that helps? Otherwise why not google for an on line version of your DW manual?0

Sounds as if it may be the compartment for rinse aid. Is there something you can unscrew to fill up with rinse aid?0

Yes, it's for rinse aid and on the program dial usually for drying.

Not sure which one is the correct one, they are both listed as DWS919, you need to check with the 11 digit Product Code Number (PNC) on the rating plate on your machine
Hope this helps....
