Yes, I checked, and it can vary in fact. Normally it's the 6th for me, but once it was the 7th when the 6th was Sunday.
And you were right, it's the last date of the statement month.

So, up to £2.60 (or even £3.90?) difference in the interest can be easily explained.
  • Archi Bald, with respect there are gaps in my statements, that is the whole point of my original posts. Your BIG RED arrow does indeed point to the dates, but as I have already stated the dates on two of my statements do not run consecutively.

Looks like there is a specific problem with your statements. Archi and I are looking at eight 123 accounts between us that we have held for several years and we never once saw any gaps in statement dates, or discrepancies on interest or cashback payments.

Please post more details / screenshots about your gaps, and keep us informed of the outcome of your complaint with Santander.

Hi all, just checked my statements for last year or so and found two occasions when there is a gap between two statement dates, both when a Sunday is missed.I don't presume it will have made any difference to the interest paid but am hoping someone is going to check their daily dues and add it up for the month.
  • Sounds like a programming error to me

I haven't had my 123 ac long, but do have this statement date issue in August.

Your account summary for 8th Jul 2014 to 9th Aug 2014 (misses out Sunday 10th Aug, then...)
Your account summary for 11th Aug 2014 to 9th Sep 2014

I don't know if it's affected the interest, but notice the 'cashback months' are listed separately on the statements without the missing Sunday:

Direct Debit Cashback paid from 8th Jul 2014 to 9th Aug 2014
Direct Debit Cashback paid from 9th Aug 2014 to 9th Sep 2014
