Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker
It could be 20kgs if it's an old one ...

From memory though they're unweildly/hard to get a decent grip on rather than heavy.
  • I changed from oil to gas (valliant combi boiler)in November using the NIHE grant, just got my grant paid into my account today. total cost to me was £1150 for change over. I supplied my own shower which cost £200 on top which was fitted free. also kept my copper cylinder which I took to clearway and received £52 for scrap. all is good so far but with oil prices dropping only time will tell if I made the right decision.

Do copper hot water cylinders have value as a 2nd hand hot water cylinder, and therefore more valuable than scrap, or scrap value only?

Do people not buy 2nd hand copper cylinders to use?

When Phoenix install the meter box on the outside of a house, how far does it have to be located from openings i.e. windows, doors, vents?

Is it 1 metre or 30 cm? I've heard both mentioned.

Can't help with that i'm afraid.

I can however tell you that they will not go further than 1m past the front wall of the property to install the meter. I have mine on the side wall (semi-detached) and that was as far as they would go.
  • Can I just say, Oil's cheap as chips at the moment from what I can see...... might convert back!!!
