Missing CC on credit report

Options
I check my credit report monthly via Noddle.
This months report is omitting a defaulted debt from a Halifax CC. It's usually there every month but for some reason has vanished.
I was in arrears from 2009, It was defaulted in 2012 and sold off to Cabot/Apex.
There's an outstanding balance of £5500 and I've been making regular fixed amount payments for the last three years.

Would there be any reason for it to disappear or should I put it down to a technical glitch or one-off mistake?
If it's not on the report, can it resurface?
Should I phone Cabot/Apex?

I haven't checked Experian or Equifax reports yet as I only ever use Noddle.

Check equifax and experian via the £2 statutory reports.

When was the last time you heard from Cabot/Apex?

I presume it was being reported by cabot/apex?

These tend to disappear when sold on, so you might want to write to cabot/apex to see if they still own the account.

    How are you paying?

I last heard from Cabot two months ago when I raised a query regarding the default date as shown as my credit report, that was the last time I had confirmation of debt ownership.
It was sold on to them from Halifax back in December 2012, and has been on my report ever since, except for the latest one for some reason. At least my report looks better!!

I pay via monthly standing order on the 28th of each month.
I'll apply for my Experian and Equifax reports right now to see what's on those then we'll see from there....

It disappears 6 years from the default date, it's either that or the debt has been sold on meaning it may reappear in future.
