Hi guys,
Just thought I'd let you all know of another victory over PE for the site.
My MIL recieved a PCN 18 months ago for overstaying in a free car park. At the time she ignorged the PE letters, then well over a year later started recieve the usual BS from DRP. She recieved 4 letters, with the last one being a Letter Before Referal for Legal Action. When she showed me them, I told her I would deal with them. After scouring the Forum I sent e-mails to Customer Services at Home Bargains & Matalan as well as to Tom & Joe Morris of Home Bargains.
I recieved replies from both CS saying they couldn't do anything about it but did offer a little bit of advice.
I then recieved a reply from John Prothero of Home Bargains who said he would look into the matter. Several days later I recieved the glorious news that the PCN had been cancelled & would recieve a letter to confirm. The letter has not yet arrived but have checked on PE website eith ref no, which says nothing is owed on that account. RESULT!!
The message for newbys I guess is to try & stay calm for a couple of days, read as much as you can & use the info on this site to help you get your PCN cancelled too.
I am now helping a friend after she recieved a PE PCN after an overstay at the hospital. With all the info on this site, I am very confident of another victory.
Keep up the great work guys, its all very much appreciated.
