APCOA - Railway Station no NTK

Hi All,
Thanks in advance for any help!
I have been through this forum and read as much as I can so as to not be one of those people that just sign up and ask the same question!
About 4-5 months ago, I got a ticket from APCOA when parked in a first crapital connect station. It was a 5 something am train to which I just about made and then went to sleep and completely forgot to ring through my parking.
Following the advice of this forum I didn't do anything and waiting for the NTK to come through. Genuinely nothing for 4-5 months.
Then yesterday I got a letter from one of their debt collector agencies. I can't figure out the best way to approach this now. I know there are strict rules about them sending the NTK within a certain time period. But how do I go about appealing?
Also, the debt collector letter was weirdly addressed to Dan and not Daniel which is the name they would get from the DVLA which is weird.
Again thanks in advance for any help and guidance.
Dan

Just send the template appeal - this is the first letter so that's the Notice to appeal to. Copy in APCOA as well and point out they failed to send a Notice to Keeper at all. They keep doing that at the moment. Do not talk about the 'PCN' AT ALL!! NOTHING about the parking event or 'waiting for the NTK'.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

And for goodness sake make sure you don't identify yourself as the driver by adding too much detail to the template. As they failed to serve a NtK in time they cannot now avail themselevs of the keeper liability provision of the Protection of Freedoms Act.My very sincere apologies for those hoping to request off-board assistance but I am now so inundated with requests that in order to do justice to those "already in the system" I am no longer accepting PM's and am unlikely to do so for the foreseeable future (August 2016).
For those seeking more detailed advice and guidance regarding small claims cases arising from private parking issues I recommend that you visit the Private Parking forum on PePiPoo.com0 -

Sorry, If I can't mention the parking event on what grounds do I use in the appeal letter?
I would hazard a guess its - The notice to keeper is incorrect?0 -
No keeper liability because Notice to Keeper late.
No keeper liability because not "relevant land".
Not a GPEOL.
No locus.
Crap signage.
All the usual stuff basically. Just, as mentioned, don't out yourself as driver.
Be prepared for a rejection without PoPLA code and a subsequent complaint to BPA Ltd. Missing NtK's and missing replies to appeals are happening so often with APCOA now it must be deliberate.Je suis Charlie.0 -
Use the template from the sticky thread I wrote 'Newbies read these FAQs first'. In its entirety! It says not to amend it in the Newbies thread. We are not talking about any template on the main MSE site or in an article. ONLY the one in the sticky thread for Newbies here on this parking forum.big_dan_ldn wrote: »Sorry, If I can't mention the parking event on what grounds do I use in the appeal letter?
