Automatic music/video organiser

Jusat looking thrugh my PC files this evening and they're in a mess. I have music/video files all over the pace and I want to move them all into the same partition on the PC.

Is there any software that would allow me to do this automatically without having to look manually for each file/folder?

umm , try a proggy called everything http://www.voidtools.com/ , no it won,t move them , but it will list mp4 , mp3s etc then you can move them

Use the built in windows search.

firstly bet you have already made your c:\video folder, or similar.

now either in explorer, or from windows use search. Look for say *.mp4 and a list will appear.

It often helps if the containing 'folder' is displayed, so right click on 'Name' field and select 'Folder' ( Date might also be helpful?)

Now search for say *.mp4 from C:\
Sort by folder (date?).
one of 2 ways: Select all, hold the control key down and unselect the unwanted ones; or hold the control key down and select the wanted ones.
Now 'move' the selected ones into the c:\video folder, by right clicking on one file and selecting 'move'
