Advice on raising money for someone in need....

Hello, I need to find an online tool to collect donations for a work colleague who's daughter needs to be flown to the US to get treatment on a tumour. NHS is funding both parents and sick daughter but not 3 year old sibling and the family really need our help to get some cash together. Team have loads of great sponsorship events planned BUT...
PROBLEM IS...websites like Just Giving etc are only set up to donate to charities not individuals...asking friends for sponsorship is fine, but don't want it to go to my bank account...
Does anyone know a way to set up a fundraising page where the family can get the cash directly at the end?
Thanks!

Can't you get permission from your work colleague to input their bank details instead?
If not, help your colleague set the site up themselves.
If they are suspicious of giving thgeir main bank account details, then why not suggest they open another bank account dedicated to the cause?0 -
Thanks...some great suggestions. Going to steer clear of the bank details route, but Kapipal looks like a strong option.
Appreciate your responses.:beer:0 -
I think it may be best to look for a local charity who can help you. This will keep you on the right side of the law, help with publicity and could even convince an airline to provide a freebie.
I don't know where you are, but there is an amazing charity in Edinburgh that deal with things like this in the local area. Perhaps an email to them could send you to someone near you? http://www.cclasp.co.uk/ (I am assuming it is a cancerous tumour - if it isn't, please ignore)0
