Most banks can provide text alerts but these would only be when the card payment debits, not when it's made. I don't know of any bank who can provide this service as they never know when the transaction will debit. It can be next day or in two weeks.

If you use online banking (PC or app), you can check your transactions any time you like. You will see all transactions your bank knows about about up to the time you check your account.

But this does not mean that you will see everything you spent, as some retailers may not yet have told your bank that you spent money with them.

I have accounts with all the banks and have never seen any that offer what you are asking for. Why can't you log into your bank account once a day?

What is it you are trying to achieve?

let's say someone steals my card info and makes purchases or a shop charges me without my consent or I get charged again based on a subscription I once purchased but no longer need, etc

or other people to whom I have gave permission to use my card, they use it

I want to get notified of all transactions of my card, so that I will know what is going on

I recall several years ago that visa was doing a trial with its own staff of something like this.
The notification would have to come from the card issuer of course not from the bank in the case of debit cards which as others have said would not see the transaction until later.

    ....found it from 2009

As above, log in every day and check. Are you really expecting multiple fraudulent transactions every day so you need to be notified the minute it happens? A sub being debited hardly needs instant notification, you've paid it and authorised it so it can't be reversed.

BTW you should not give permission to use your card to anyone. Your card, your responsibility. Log in and check your account daily but if you've given card (and pin?) then you're breaching your bank T&Cs especially if it is other people, plural.
Remember the saying: if it looks too good to be true it almost certainly is.

It would be ridiculous for a bank to text everytime your debit card is used. For a start many would be inundated with texts, and at what cost to the bank? A bank is not your mother, you need to take some owenership here yourself. Some will offer text services if your card has been used by a foreign/overseas transaction as these may be considered out of the ordinary and more likely to be fraudulent, plus most banks fraud teams do monitor account activity and will try to contact you or decline transactions they feel do not match your regular activity/lifestyle.

Check your account regularly and should there be any fraud contact your bank who will investigate and refund accordingly. Or use credit card instead and clear your balance each month. This way fraud is being done using the card issuers money and not your own.

Also just some advice, the minute you give a third party permission to use your card, (give them your PIN) you will find it almost impossible to claim back any fraud as you have breached the terms and conditions of your card usage.

American Express work with Apples PassBook service such that you get a push notification whenever it's used.

If I buy something in Tesco the notification appears on my phone before I've left the store - usually within 10 seconds (very impressive!)
Nothing I say represents any past, present or future employer.
  • Not quite the same thing but Santander lets you set up text alerts when the account goes above or below an amount you specify. This may help?
