Contravention Code 27

Evening all,


When I was driving home tonight I noticed what looked like a council form stuck under one of my windscreen wipers, after pulling over and retrieving it I found it to be a PCN informing me I have contravened Code 27.


I park on Avenue Crescent in Hounslow for work and this is the first time I've had an issue. Unfortunately I did not take a picture of how I was parked but had I done so it would show me parked about 3 inches away from the car behind me and the front of my car edging past the lowered curb for a driveway to a single terraced residence.


From the bit of research done so far some pictures would have been very useful for an appeal showing I did my best to get as far away from the curb as possible with the way the other car was parked, which I think leaves me with only one route for a successful appeal: ask the owner of the residence if my parking was obstructing them in any way (there was a car on the drive) and if they think I wasn't, I need to ask them to write and sign a letter saying the contravention did not occur.


Thoughts and suggestions please!


PS not sure if there is a 'grace period' but there is an observed time of 5 minutes on the form.

Post on pepipoo with both sides of the PCN. Hounslow windscreen tickets have a wording flaw that the council don't like the adjudicators seeing again after all these years. They cancel in the end before adjudication usually, when an appellant points out the wording flaw among other appeal points pepipoo will help you find.

TBH you could easily find it by Googling 'Hounslow windscreen PCN wording flaw if this is not challenged'.
