Is this speed any good ?

I'm with sky



on broadband unlimited and have just done this test to see what my speed is but i have not got a clue if it's any good or not, it says

DownStream Connection Speed 20177 kbps UpStream Connection Speed 797 kbps

    Certainly good enough for most things.

    What speed are you paying for?

    Yours is just over 20mbps, so below average if you're in a suburban or city area, but certainly fast enough (download something at 2.5MB/s) for almost every use.

    Those averages make me laugh.

    No where near what people I know get. Average in the city round me, on ADSL, is about 6-8Mbps

    No, that is what it is set at, what did you sign up for speed wise?

    I signed up for "up to" 17Mbps and I get about 12
  • oh i'm not sure then, but i pay £7.50 per month

    Indeed. That is the standard price for Sky unlimited.

    Sounds pretty good to me I'm in a suburban area and get 1.5 meg
    down and 0.4 meg up.
