Conveyancer recommendations

Hi,
We are looking to buy a property (and sell our current) and are in the process of choosing a conveyancer.
I have been recommended Beaumont Legal, Smith Sutcliffe, Slater Heelis. I have read negative posts/reviews about Beaumont Legal so I will give them a miss.
Regarding Smith Sutcliffe and Slater Heelis, has anyone used them before?
Any other recommendations are welcomed.
On a separated but related issue, do home movers usually use the same solicitor for selling of current property and buying a new one?
Thanks for your advise

We've just used Beaumont Legal and had a mixed experience. First person assigned to our case was terrible, but she left (or was fired) half way through the process and the replacement has been excellent ever since. The quote was really good and we have just received our completion statement and everything is exactly as quoted, no hidden extras.
Easiest to use same solicitor for buying and selling, otherwise you introduce another link in the chain which will only slow things down and there will probably be more money transfers required all of which are costly.0 -

Thanks for your feedback. Don't mind me asking. Why did you choose Beaumont Legal?0
