Spooky! Windows 8.1

I just did a clean install of Windows 8.1 on a clean SSD.


So how come when I decided to buy something from Amazon that my username and password were already filled in? :eek:


Then I decided to come to this forum and ask about it.


Of course I wasn't logged in but when I typed in my user name and clicked on the password box my password immediately popped in to the box without me having to enter it. :eek:

I suppose it must have something to do with my Microsoft log in to my computer, all my favourites have appeared as well.

What browser?

Did you by any chance sign in on the browser? Google Chrome can store details and can sync to different devices.

Did you log in with your Microsoft account after reinstalling?

I assume that stores some browser history if using Internet Explorer.

Just found out all my bank info is retained as well. :eek:

At least when I visit a friend I can log into their windows 8.1 computer and everything will be there for me, save me carrying around a USB stick.
