You cannot get lost from the airport to the MEO shop....unless you are an idiot. You will be there within two to three minutes of leaving the airport.
You need to go into the shop to register the SIM anyway. This way you will be up and running with the package of your choice activated and running. Then you can set up your GPS and be on your way.
If you are afraid to drive for three minutes on a major road without the aid of GPS, you can order a LycaMobile SIM Their bundles are cheap enough. They use the Vodafone network. I haven't tried them nor Vodafone, so perhaps you can let us know how the coverage was for you.0 -
im not the one driving and its the first time we've done it in portugal..been looking on eBay and they've quoted 20 pound for 1gb of internet..so i may use them nifty0

Hi nifty digits I did try and search on that site but am using my phone and it wasn't working very well in it. So I assume from the above there's a vodafone in faro airport? When am arriving and picking up my bags will I be able to get it and see it?0

Perhaps you should use a PC/laptop and look at the map.0 -
I found my old orange sim mundo sim from spain..will this work in portugal and do you know how i can top it up? I've looked at the map nifty but am not very good wit them..is this vodafone store in the airport?0
