Hi

I would like some advise on E.ON billing please I am currently with EDF but I am in the process of switching to E.ON.

I am an E7 user and currently pay be direct debit every month I submit my meter readings and EDF automatically produces a bill.

Would E.ON do the same?

Thanks

    From the E.oN FAQs:

If you manage your account online you can log in and create your own bill. Just choose the meter reading option from the left hand side menu. Once you’ve entered your readings it will give you the option to create your bill.

    Hi vicki84

As Hengus says, quarterly billed customers registered with our website can create their own bill virtually whenever they like.

This option is available when meter readings are entered but it doesn't always automatic create the bill. You'll need to hit the button.

The only time it's automatic is when the next scheduled bill is due. For quarterly billed customers, readings entered 14 days either side of the bill date, automatically trigger a bill.

Once triggered, bills will be available to view online within 24 hours.

As you're going to pay with a Monthly Direct Debit, you'll also be able to use a facility that gives you more control over the payments. It's called the Direct Debit Manager.

This lets you keep an eye on the payments to make sure you're not paying too much or too little. You can make changes too. Comes in handy should circumstances change.

Provided the account is billed up to the latest meter readings, payments can be altered by up to 20 per cent up or down. By up to 5 per cent up or down without readings.

Before confirming the new amount, we'll tell you by how much we anticipate the account will be in credit/debit if the change is put through but usage doesn't alter accordingly.

Hope this is of interest vicki84. Let me know if you need any more details as happy to help.
