But the thread titles don't necessarily tell you enough to make that decision.
What's the point of having topics for each board if people just ignore them?
Just today we've got a moan about an ebay item, a query on workplace passive smoking, a question about recommending a cookbook and this one about quotes.
Just saying that people are getting less inclined to look for the board that will be most relevant.:hello:0 -
To be fair the discussion board is somewhat of a political minefield which is full of daily mail focused outrage and wannabe Marxists that also seem to hate foreign people.
As for the quote, all it could think of was "those who talk about it most do it the least"What if there was no such thing as a rhetorical question?0 -

So just because they have a different view to you they're automatically wrong?0 -

Please tell me where you saw me say anyone was wrong.
(For reference this is exactly the sort of response that stops people posting in discussion time)What if there was no such thing as a rhetorical question?0 -
I like 'Do as you would be done by' which I think is probably from the Water Babies.
Going OT for a moment. I think if the board guides weren't volunteers it would be easier to do the sort of housekeeping that tiddlywinks wants. All it needs is for these threads to be moved to relevant places on the forum.
Personally I'd like all the TTC and similar threads to be put onto a board of their own. But until it happens, I just don't open them.0 -
I have a quote that I would like people to help me with too please!
Its about finding someone to go through life with but instead of tying someone down its about finding someone that can run along beside you doing the same stuff.0 -

Don't find someone to tame you, but find someone that is going to run wild with you.
It is something on them lines? I have heard sayings like it bewfore just trying to remember them.Raven. :grinheart:grinheart:grinheart0 -
Barely 10 posts into a thread that wasn't even about anything confrontational, and people are already squabbling. :rotfl:
Good old MSE. Coming here is better than watching Corrie or 'Enders if you want a bit of drama and conflict.

Some people just have nothing better to do Soleil:o, I only asked on this thread because I felt it was the most appropriate and didn't think it was really up to DT level! :rotfl:Raven. :grinheart:grinheart:grinheart0 -

This board is getting to be a general dumping ground for everything... There have been loads of general threads recently.
If you think this one is bad dont go to the Credit Card forum, poor thing being at the top of the list really is the dumping ground for everything.0
