That's a shame, but keep on looking, hopefully you'll find something better. Maybe they'll come back to you if it doesn't sell.

    How much work needed?
    Structurally sound?
Had a survey? Or someone view (worth a second view) it who knows what to look for...? Would be able to give a better indication if we knew if the price was lowered to factor-in the work...
    Any chance of a link?

How did your other viewing go? Any good for you?
Father Ted: Now concentrate this time, Dougal. These
(he points to some plastic cows on the table) are very small; those (pointing at some cows out of the window) are far away...

  • £5k under asking is not an unreasonable offer, everyone prices their house a few ££££ higher so that they can drop the price later on.

I know it's easy to fall in love with somewhere and try and over stretch yourself - we're in the same position right now. We viewed somewhere 6 weeks ago and made an offer on it which was accepted and then we had to withdraw our offer afterwards due to delays - since then we have seen 2 houses we like more.

    Good luck
  • rosie383 - Going to see another house tonight and a further 2 on Saturday. All of which look nice from the photos, just need to see them in the flesh to get a better idea.

woodworm001 - Exactly what we thought. I'm still open to buying the house at £115,000 but i'm not going any higher.
