ALDI £17 6.5L slow cooker

Hello guys and gals

I noticed this ALDI Specialbuy (which no doubt means limited stock!) 6.5L slow cooker for £16.99. Do you think that this is a good deal/ does anyone have an experience with ALDI/crofton slow cookers?

I really want to try out some of the recipes on the slow cooker thread and wanted to know if anyone had any good/bad experiences with them?

I have a 3.5l one and it works perfectly, we have cooked some lovely meals in it. None have been as good as my original 'Crock pot' but they are treble the price of this one! :eek:

I think they are fantastic for autumn/winter, you can walk in from work to a hot meal, I recommend them.

thank you - I can't think of anything nicer than getting back after a long day to some delicious pulled pork

I noticed that one but I was worried (as a chronic over-cooker) it wouldn't be big enough. Especially if I'm cooking for a big group - how many people would you say the average 3.5L feeds?

I can just about get a medium whole chicken in my 3.5l one, probably 2/3 man size servings

I'd never consider a slow cooker when I have a gas hob, huge stockpot and freezer.

sadly I'm rather lacking on the above myself - A big freezer is definitely on my Christmas wishlist (such a wild thing!)
