Can read amount clearly?

Hi there
I've been hit with a money grabbing ticket at the local train station. I was parked on some grass - historically used for parking without any issues - and the car park agents (Meteor) decided they needed some money so ticketed loads of vehicles one day claiming 'parked in an unauthorised area' despite the fact people have used these areas for years without issue.
My ticket hasn't printed correctly - all the text is misalined and I can't make out the penalty amount clearly. What I think is the line with the amount on is nowhere to be seen and near (above not under) the 'pay this amount below' bit of the ticket is a very blurred £50? I think which I think should be under the 'pay this before 14 days' line further down the ticket.
I emailed them last night (11pm) and by 6 am this morning I had an email back throwing out my appeal and stating the amount I need to pay.
Am I correct in thinking the ticket is a legal document so should correctly state BOTH the amounts in a clearly legible state? I would attach it for people to see but can't work out how. It looks like the ticket has got stuck in the machine during printing.
Should I push the appeal further or just roll over and pay??? What does everyone think? Any legal people there that can give me a point of law...
Thanks in advance

If you do some research on here you will see there are a couple of outstanding cases with Meteor. I think mine is the latest case.
If you read the newbies thread it will probably answer most of the questions from your post. Once you have, reply to this thread with your proposed appeal and it will be seen by others who can help, however as you have already appealed you may be in a slightly different situation to the usual appeals.0 -
As above, please read the sticky thread for NEWBIES at the top of the page. You should have done this before appealing as you may now have revealed who was driving which is a bad idea.
The advice here is always, Do Not Pay, Do Not Ignore, Do Not Reveal Who Was Driving.
The confusing information on the ticket (was it a ticket or a PCN?) is an extra appeal point but won't win on its own, hence why you need to read the NEWBIES thread. Was the word Penalty really used? If you have received a PCN this is very unlikely. It is not a penalty.
Your initial appeal WILL be rejected but as Meteor are members of the BPA they MUST provide you with a PoPLA code. You use this code with the appeal template in the How To Win At PoPLA section of the NEWBIES thread and win.I married my cousin. I had to...I don't have a sister.

I am not a 'legal person', merely an armchair lawyer and MSEer but that was the whole point of the thread I wrote, near the top of the forum. The idea was that newbies would read it first & know what to do, and we would avoid endless new threads we couldn't possibly keep up with any more, as this scam is so rife. You need to read the sticky thread called 'Private parking ticket? Newbies please read these FAQs first!'.moneygrabbing**** wrote: »Should I push the appeal further What does everyone think? Kind of obvious what the answer is to that question, seeing as there are loads of Meteor threads on here and a sticky thread telling you exactly how to appeal and when. Search the parking forum for 'Meteor' as the keyword, to find all the others like yours.or just roll over and pay???PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
