    Your right, im not keen on releasing it for a few reasons. The biggest one being, I have noticed myself over time it becomes out of date. I wouldnt want to give anyone the wrong information. You could argue that its a guide only but I think you would automatically discount various lenders meaning its not really a guide, its something to filter out lenders and it could be filtering out the best one for you.

    But also, im not sure how people sharing their experiences of credit agencies and lenders helps anyone. What one lender doesnt accept another might and they may both use the same or different credit agencies...

    As long as you disclose the issues, there can be no question of intent.

    If you fail to disclose, knowing the lender won't be able to find it, that would be intent.

    Believing that even if you disclose it, the lender is less likely to take it into account if it isn't visible on the credit search..?

    Not all lenders specifically ask the question about defaults/ccjs/late payments.

    If they dont ask and dont pick up on it... everyone is a winner.

    But im still assuming the OP is asking the question based on some adverse showing on one credit report and not the other. That does not mean its not visible to the lender. The report we see only shoes the current address, the one the lender sees has multiple addresses. So if the default was registered under a previous address its still likely to get picked up.
