    hello sabelu

only old steiff bears are worth buying, new ones do not hold value, we have some 14 years old and i would not get my money back if i sold them now. tried to sell then at bonhams auctions in london who told us they would be of little value.

    best wishes julie

Hi Sabelu......I buy and sell Steiff Bears and it's partly true that old bears hold their value better. I have some recent ones that have sky-rocketed in value and others that haven't. Danbury Mint ones tend not to hold their value so well - at least the ones I've had. Do some research on ebay as it's a great indicator of how much bears go for.

A good place for help and advice is also Sue Pearsons - in Brighton I think - who I've bought from a few times. They give great advice and have some interesting stuff on their website.
