I want black and don't want to pay £10 each in B&Q for double sockets so am looking for decent supplier online.
Any recommendations?

Recently sockets have changed from Single Pole to Double Pole Switches, therefore the cost of Sockets has increased from £1 to £3.
This may reflect the prices increase, and if you wanted Single Pole & Black, they may be cheaper..0 -
Oh so that's why some say DP!! What is the difference?

DP is double pole and switches both live and neutral
SP is single pole and switches only the live
The only time a DP switched socket (or an switched socket) is actually required is for the supply feeding a central heating boiler. This is because plumbers are considered too thick to pull the plug out to isolate the boiler when working on it and rely on the switch.A kind word lasts a minute, a skelped erse is sair for a day.0 -
Got ours from screwfix, they used to do a 10 pack. Seem to only be 5 now -

Screwfix has a pack of 5 Double Sockets in Black nickel finish for £20 on clearance at the moment. They seem to be clearing the bevelled-edge ones in favour of the flat ones.0
