  • Identify the "something" and uninstall it, if it was not installed properly you obviously dont use it, if you do then just re-install it and make sure that the installation completes.

Uninstall by Start >----Control Panel >
Add or remove programs if its XP

if it was not properly installed then it tends not to be in the add/remove programs list - simply delete the physical files off the hard disk. Though you do need to work out what it is you need to remove, which is abit difficult. What does the message say? It will usually give a file path or filename that it can't find - which gives a good hint.

A clean of the registry with ccleaner should help (don't forget to say yes when it asks to backup registry).

    try this
    right click on My Computer
    Properties
    Hardware tab
    Device manager
Expand each of the + signs and you'll see the sub items.
If any have a yellow exclamation mark next to them then it means they're not properly installed or there is a problem.
That should give you an idea of what disk to use if it's a driver that's causing the problem.

    Good Luck!
