Caught speeding abroad

My OH was driving a rental in Denmark last month when she got caught on a speed camera doing 59 kms an hour in a 50 zone.
The Danish traffic police tracked our address through the car hire company. In the letter the police sent to out UK address, they enclosed photo evidence of the offense so a little hard to argue. Instead they could have sent the 1000 kroner fine (£105) to AVIS/Budget, where they could have debited her credit card. That would have been easier I think.
Very tempting to bin the letter but it might affect her if and when she visits Denmark again one day. Have anybody here on this forum recently been caught speeding abroad, especially Denmark, and if so, did you pay the fine or ignore it?
Thanks.

I've only been stopped on the spot for a traffic offence abroad, but surely if it's "a fair cop" for speeding you should just pay up.
I can't think of any justification for not paying, and, as you say, the Danish police have been reasonable in not just collecting the money through the hire firm, but giving you an opportunity to see the evidence.0 -
Not sure - plenty of people say ignore it!PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
