Using credit card for cash

Hi,

I used my credit card for cash a few times back in 2010-2012, i have not used it once for cash since January 2013. How likely is this to have a bad effect on applying for a mortgage?

Credit card balance is now zero.

    I don't have any evidence but I seriously doubt it will have much of an effect

    however continue to use a CC and pay in full each month

    I agree with the other posters. It shouldn't have any effect. If you continue to use the account make sure to pay it off each month. Revolving credit and even a balance is good to have. So long as the payments are made on time and there are no derogatory remarks you should be fine.

    Good luck and congrats on the steps to buying a house.
