Sharp practice with autonet insurance

Having already had an issue with autonet over changing a registration number on cost of £86 ( which was then refunded after complaints of unreasonable charges on here) i had the requirement of having to add a person to my policy to drive my vehicle. I was quoted an extra £88.03 for the person to be covered by aviva (which i don't have a problem with,) but i felt again ripped off by the excessive charges of £35 admin fee charged by autonet for again tapping a few keys on a keyboard, i voiced my displeasure at the time to the operator but have received no contact back from autonet. I was not informed of these charges before i bought the insurance from them and have been told that they are in their terms and conditions but you dont get to see them when you buy it over the phone until you have bought the insurance. What has happened to customer service, this company dont seem to understand the meaning of it, all they are interested in is charging for everything they do once you have purchased the policy through them. This is a very poor company to deal with for insurance in my opinion, i would neber ever recommend anyone to buy insurance through these people, do yourself a favour and pay a little more and buy from someone else

Sell cheap, recoup costs via fees. Its a standard practice across many industries not just insurance and will continue to expand whilst people buy on price alone.
The idea of the cooling off period is to give you the opportunity to read the terms when you've bought over the phone etc and cancel if you dont like things like Admin fees etc0 -
Why would people want to pay more to avoid changes they may never make?
I have only ever changed details a handful of times in many years of motoring. Mostly changing cars mid term.
So the admin fee is neglible.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0
