I would say its a spoof. If you forward the email to spoof@paypal.com they will probably tell you its a spoof. Paypal would never ask you to log in via a link.

The safest thing is NEVER give your details on an email link. ALWAYS enter the site by typing in the address in the address bar.

They are all fakes. Paypal do NOT send out e-mails like this.

If you ever even WONDER if it's genuine, bin it. If it's real, they'll contact you again.

And NEVER click links in e-mails like this - go to the site by manually typing https://www.paypal.com - and then if they need to give you a message they'll do it on their site, not via a dodgy e-mail.

I'm working on a sticky post at the moment about phishing mails and hope to have it posted later today with Divadees agreement.

meanwhile as others have already said these phishing mails are very common and if you are not sure just send them straight to spoof@ebay.co.uk . The real clue though is the 'dear user' start, if it says that don't even bother reading the rest.

Oh dear are you saying you filled in the survey THEN went to paypal by typing https://www.paypal.com on the address line or did you fill in the survey then were presented with a paypal screen from where you signed in

If the latter I would guess that by now your paypal account has been well & truely raided and I'd be dubious about the former.

I also had an email from PayPal. I recently had cause to ring Customer Services, and just afterwards I received an email requesting that I filled in a survey about how they performed.

As I had been badly treated I was keen to fill it in; no personal details entered, not even username. Surely this was genuine?

I clicked on the link from amit1 and my email address(login name) was already entered, presumably from a cookie? If it is a fraud (and a quick google search strongly suggests it, then why would it pick up my email address?
Aha, so thats how you do a signature!
