Afternoon all,
Oh Bagpuss, what a morning you have had!
TTFTM - sorry that hubby did not get the job.
Well today I have caught up to date with the ironing, had a couple of loads of washing on that are now on the non heated airer as no rush to wear them!
Been through the pantry and recorded BB dates, not much in there to be honest as was using items up prior to our move. Move now off as buyer pulled out, so now not sure if to stock up again or not?
Had a change of plan re tonight's dinner, don't fancy rice so will make chicken pasties instead.
Must get on and tidy up the sitting room so nice for hubby's return from work.

Afternoon everyone
Back from our short break, back to work, back to reality.
Had a lovely time catching up with my friend and her OH. Was going to take stepdaughter out for a meal on our way home, she's at uni, only to get message that she had been taken to hospital. She's diabetic and had either a very nasty sickness bug or food poisoning which in turn had upset her bloods. So we went to visit her instead. Bless her she looked so poorly. We stayed with her for a bit and her bf was going to stay as long as he could, she is a lot better today and hoping to come out.
Need to get cracking when I get home, we have been away or out every weekend for the last 6 weeks and it shows! Need to get some food after work as I have nothing for my lunches for the rest of the week.
Enjoy the rest of your day everyone, kind thoughts for any poorlies.

TTFTM so sorry DH didn't get the job - not to be downhearted, think of it as a practise run for the one he will get.
Oh dear Bagpuss, Coyote (The Trickster) really has it in for you today, doesn't he? (((HUG)))
Re the dog's "gift" - if one of our guests "goes" on their before-bed trip to the garden, we make a note of roughly where, and pick it up in the morning, on the basis of by the time we've gone in for a poo bag and a torch, we'll forget the exact location, and find it the hard way - or as Mr LW says, "the soft and squishy way".:DIf your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
¡Hola!
Just sat on the patios under the sun shades, chilling, browsing and crocheting. It's a hard life!

Just had lunch, pate on crispbreads followed by honeydew melon (2 for 1€ on the market yesterday). First load of washing dried, second load on the line now. Hands improving, the peeled areas now hardeneding up which is letting me hold things, managed to crochet for the first time last night, and can hold Skye's lead again now.
TTFTM. Sorry to hear DH didn't get the job. Just be careful when looking abroad, know a few who have come out here to teach English, and offered temporary contract, which haven't lasted long, and not been treat well.
Having problems with iPad freezing, so will quickly say ((hugs)) , spoons, and positive vibes all round. Take care everyone. DGMember #8 of the SKI-ers Club
Why is it I have less time now I am retired then when I worked?0 -
Bright at the moment but we have had one sharp shower that didn't last long so I just left the washing on the line, hopefully it will stay dry for the rest of the day.
I can't believe that it is the 20th October and I am still in a sleeveless T-shirt
Looks like DD is out of work at the beginning of November
but she has applied for another job, it is a permanent contract this time not a temporary one so we will see if she is succesful.
Such sad news about Lynda Bellingham and also the loss of John Holt, another part of my youth gone :'(
TTFM sorry that DH didn't get the job, but at least he got to the interview stage, which is a real achievement these days. Something will come along, it is just a matter of if at first you don't succeed try again.
Bagpuss............I would have gone back to bed!
Lovely to see you back Camelot, hope to see some piccies on facebook soon x
Off to potter in the garden

Afternoon all,
Just a quick pop in to say hi to everyone, old and new. Had a lovely weekend away, brilliant weather made it even nicer. Got two lots of washing done and all the ironing is now up to date too.
Off to DS2's College shortly for a 'review' which I take to mean its like school parents evening. I have told him as long as they don't say either 'could put more effort in' or 'hasn't done his homework' I will be fine. Either of those and angry will be an understatement!!!
Right have a good evening.0
