Refund from Germany (answered)

Hello , recently bought and returned product to Germany. But the seller is requesting my IBAN/BICS for refund instead of processing it directly to my credit card (the payment used).
If I agree to IBAN/BICS payment wouldn't I loss out on the exchange rate as the banks tend to have lower rates than credit card companies? I noticed there are also fees for receiving money from the EU( dependant on which bank used)
any advice would be appreicated.

Challenge yourself with something you know you could never do, and what you’ll find is that you can overcome anything.

Thankyou grumbler.
Halifax clarity credit card.
No terms and condition about returns on website,but emailed the seller who stated 10 days trial period. bought online and returned due to unsuitability(violin). Seller did mention if goods are returned there would be a refund fee. I guess its part of sells of contract.Challenge yourself with something you know you could never do, and what you’ll find is that you can overcome anything.0 -

http://ec.europa.eu/consumers/archive/cons_int/safe_shop/dist_sell/The Distance Selling Directive applies to any consumer distance contract made under the law of an EU-Member State as well as the European Economic Area (EEA). It provides a number of fundamental legal rights for consumers in order to ensure a high level of consumer protection throughout the EU. These include:
....Consumer's right to cancel the contract within a minimum of 7 working days without giving any reason and without penalty, except the cost of returning the goods (right of withdrawal);
...

Shopping online or by phone? Your consumer rightsShoppers now have more protection when buying goods and services and greater rights when things go wrong, as the EU Consumer Rights Directive is now in force.
...
For items bought online, via mail order or over the phone, once you've received goods you now have 14 calendar days from the day after receipt of goods or completion of a contract to ask to cancel the contract and get a refund. Previously this was seven working days.0
