Declaring SORN problem

I have a car I keep for spares. The last two years I have had a reminder in the post to tax it or declare SORN and I have declared SORN online without any problems and been told the declaration is good for 1 year.

This year I have had no reminder in the post and although the previous SORN declaration is over a year old, I cannot seem to declare it SORN again online; it just says the car is already SORN. But as it is over a year since my last SORN declaration, I am concerned DVLA might try to say I haven't taxed it or declared SORN. Has anyone else experienced this problem this year?

You don't have a problem - you must have missed the announcements that SORN no longer needs to be renewed.

It expires only if /when you licence the vehicle again.
