Changing from Electric to Gas hob

I'm in the process of buying a new house. I gave always had a gas hob and this house has an electric one. It's not really a big deal but I was wondering if anyone could give me an idea of how much it would cost to change it from Electric to Gas. The house does have gas central heating so there is a gas supply to the house.

All depends how easy it is to get a gas supply to the hob space, or if there is already off there.

£40.... that's roughly the cost to fit... it will have the pipe in some form. Tie it in with having the boiler serviced.

Come on! And the rest. If thete is an old bayonet fitting, that will need to be removed and replaced with 15mm copper. You will need a gas isolation valve, a copper to iron (male or female) a number of elbows. So at least £10 in materials.

Realistically you are looking at £80.

I guess now you will tell me that the £115 I paid to have -

    a) Boiler Serviced
    b) Gas Fire Serviced
    c) Kitchen Sink Drain Resealed
    d) Bathroom Flexi Hose Replaced
    e) Boiler Pump Freed
    f) Radiators Bleeded.

    The quote was £40....
