ACN scam uk? Too good to be true?

Recently a friend introduced me to ACN, apparently this is a huge money making scheme, earnings can be up to £20,000 a month, depends how hard you work.

After being skeptical about this he says i would be best to go to the event which is being held at a hotel conference room every week. So i decide to go, now before going to the hotel i was thinking 'pure BS', but once in i see young people in sharp suits, designer watches, few expensive cars in the parking. As i enter there is a room full of asian community looking to be part of this scheme. Find it very strange no other ethnicitys arenin the room. A video is playing of how a guy im america has become succsessful through acn in short period of time.

One of the reps comes to the front and presents how the system works and how much we can be earning. He calls his friends up and they tell their stories on how they used to be taxi drivers and now make £10,000 a month. This seens to be too good to be true. Everytime someone speaks someone starts clapping at the back of the room, now after the presentation almost 30 people sign up, £390 each, they make £12k easy that night, has anyone got any experience of this in the uk ? Thoughts?

    It is a pyramid scheme.

You are about to pay for those suits, designer watches and cars.

    You won't be getting any.

Do not confuse what the organisers make from the presentation with what the punters themselves will make.

If they could make £20k per month each, why are they bothering with £12k per week shared amongst, what, 10 people?

ACN do not have a registered office in the UK, however have in the usa, austrailia, amsterdam. someone asked this question on why there is no office here, they reply they are making one soon, is this BS?

The system works as we get reffered by them, we then have to get two households to sign up and pay the £390 fee, and then they transfer there services suchas gas electric and broadband, it works as a chain amongst our family and friends.

The representativss say we are not allowed to get outside customers such as door to door or calling up houses, bit suspicious aint it?!
  • Bit suspicious?! I'd personally have told the friend to save his breath after his opening sentence.

    Yep, that's a pyramid scheme

Chances are most of what you've been told is BS ... Generally these things only make money for the top level - with the function room and expensive watches as part of their sales pitch - and it's the group of people like you who've wandered in off the street who foot the bill and pay for their lifestyle

Best thing to do would be to make sure the appropriate authorities are informed ASAP ... It is the financial services watchdog? Chances are you'll help a fair few vulnerable people avoid getting ripped off ... Just remember: If it's too good to be true, etc

No reason it still can't be 'pure BS' - the sharp suits, designer watches and expensive cars (very easy to hire?) could easily be part of the 'setting the scene' ploy to make them look successful - after all you noticed it?
He calls his friends up and they tell their stories on how they used to be taxi drivers and now make £10,000 a month.
Again quite possible to be prearranged - his so called friends are primed on what to say before hand.
Everytime someone speaks someone starts clapping at the back of the room
Could it be those that start clapping at the back of the room are friends of the speaker - they may not look like they are linked but probably end up going home in the same car after the event.
now after the presentation almost 30 people sign up, £390 each, they make £12k easy that night
Now how many of those 30 people that signed up that night walked round the corner and got given their money back as they could have easily being part of the 'play' - to make it look like that this is the must do thing if you too want to be wearing that designer suit/watch and driving the expensive car.
This seens to be too good to be true.
If it sounds too good to be true, then it probably is... ;)
