Just a little moan really

Got to junior school with Little Mr Mac, yesterday, to be reminded about the school trip, !!!!!!, me and SWMBO missed that in the diary:doh:. Bank holiday weekend! Told he needed a packed lunch, but there was a cafe, so gave the little fella a fiver, he was happy enough:cool:.
Head tells me it was mentioned in three notes. Now suitably chastised:o To be told by another mother, later, the notes had been confusing and ambiguous:rolleyes:.
Discovered when I got home, from SWMBO, 50% of the class forgot, some Ma's rushed home to make packed lunches, local shop sold some extra's.
Now what really annoys me is, school policy is to remind the pupils the day before, brilliant idea, didn't do it, forgot because of the bank holiday:mad:
Now I'm not blaming the school, we should have spotted it, but annoyed by the patronising head.
Now going to have a  And a lie down

I can't work out SWMBO...what does it mean?
How difficult is it to write an unambiguous note to parents stating there is a school trip and kiddie winkie will require a packed lunch (or a fiver)? Guess if you're a head of school it's very difficult so you try again - twice - and still get it wrong...
Hope you had a nice lie down.0 -

Not helpful in the slightest for your experience but .. we get a newsletter every Friday, and they always have a "reminder" bit regarding outings the following week.
Recently they even started to put a copy of it on the Schools internet site! Although to be honest, if it's a BH w/end or HT they update the web newsletter .... when they get BACK! :wall:

Knew you'd soon have the smile back on yer face
The problem with 'Head's' are: it usually is patronising ('specially if you don't know them well) which can leave a nasty taste in your mouth!
Good to see you back on form
