Legionella in Mallorca

Hi All
Hardly a topic to inspire the traveller but I was wondering if anyone could advise on the following?
I booked an apartment in southern Mallorca via Booking.com. A few days after returning home I developed an outrageous fever. I had pneumonia, the cause of which, turned out to be legionella in my bloodstream.
I am absolutely convinced the origin of my illness was the pool and showers at the apartment. As I did not travel with a tour operator I was wondering where I stood in terms of comeback? I paid for the accommodation by credit card.
At the very least can anyone advise on how to inform the local public health? I cannot stand by while others may be become ill with this potentially fatal disease.
Your thoughts appreciated in advance

If you go down to the woods today you better not go alone.0

Your only possible claim is directly against the hotel, one of the disadvantages of booking direct and not with a tour operator when you may have a claim in the UK against the operator. Hope you recover soon.0

Unless things have changed recently, Legionella was a notifiable disease and if you presented yourself at a doctors and Legionella was diagnosed then I think the GP has to report the case. This was done to help build back a route to the cause.0

We travel to Majorca next week and will be staying in the south of the island so would be keen to know where you stayed. I appreciate that an open forum would not be the place to name an apartment / hotel until you know for certain but if you could drop me a PM with the name of the complex I would be really grateful.
Thanks.Lea
