Alternative to old fashioned baxi gas fire?

We have a baxi back boiler which is working perfectly but the baxi fire has been disconnected as the front glass got broken. We never really used it and the cost of replacing the single pane was almost £300 so never bothered.
We are now selling our house and I hate the look of the fire even though I know it is safe.
Is there a modern alternative? That doesn't cost too much. The one in the link is the same as the one we have.

If it's disconnected remove it and stick a cheap electric fire in its place..................

Completely ignore this piece of 'advice' for starters!
The lack of a simple explanation of your statement for the OP is daft
Briefly explained means that the back boiler and fire are paired, designed to work together. Removing the fire will dangerously effect the combustion and safe operation of the back boiler. They must be kept together0 -
Could you not buy this one off eBay and have it fitted to your boiler?0

Some Baxi firefronts are compatible with some back boilers, but not all combinations are permitted or possible.
If new glass is £300 but that firefront is £150 then asking the seller if he can just sell you the glass and post it sounds like a deal. You'd still need to pay a Gas Safe fitter to install it though.

I've been looking out for a fire on ebay but just haven't found one within a reasonable distance. But those of you who seem to know what you are talking about have confirmed what I suspected.
