mpan & mprn query
Options
just moved into a new build house and i believe there maybe a !!!! up with the meters.
1st off if it may cause the issue is my postcode has only just been added on the royal mail site, but only 3 out of the 11 are listed despite me being the last person to occupy an house, most things I've changed i have to manually input my address.
Its fitted with a smart meter but it only gives data for the electric, I rang the meter helpline and was told nothing was registered and to call british gas, in which after several calls and still none the wiser,
one call i made they were more interested in trying to get my to sign up for 12 months than my issue and i still don't have a correct mprn number, i did go through switching the electric only but the mpan came up as wrong too saying it doesn't match the address, even though its on the smart meter?
one call i got the impression i have the wrong meters,
they mentioned the meter serial numbers i gave them belongs to #5 and i live at #6 and they thought i must be daft by saying i must be looking at the wrong meter, then they asked if it was in a block of flats,
but a further call they related it to as plot 3?
is this issue got to be dealt with by my landlord as i can't get any joy from british gas, i'm guessing it will be the owners fault anyway or the construction company.
either way, i'm stuck to paying more on BG's standard tariff as i'm not allowed to switch to a cheaper one

You will be on an IGT, get them to search ecoes and xoserve using the meter serial number. Your address is likely to be under a dummy postcode and or plot details.
Happens a lot to new builds, likely also to be eon suppliedDon't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.0
