Hi, I imagine the weather is the same as the rest of the canaries 22-25 degrees during the day and a bit chilly in the evening and night.

Not sure about the water park, but got told its a large one.
Plenty of bars/restaurants overlooking the small town beaches, the dune beaches are a taxi/bus ride away.

You can take a boat trip/ferry over to playa Blanca 40 mins (they face each other) it cost us £23 per adult and £15 per child under 11. But we managed to get a deal.

Was there in November eight years ago and it rained almost continuously for five days out of the seven we were there.

It was miserable...especially for the people with kids. After a couple of days Dad's were consigned to the pool (in the rain) with the kids anyway! At least it was warm rain!

    Think I read a book/day!

Coincidently there's been floods in the Canaries this weekend.

  • But it can also be lovely. It's the Canaries. I imagine it'll be nicer than whatever the weather's doing here. The Music Square is very nice, if you stay in town. There's beaches in the town and beyond. It can be windy, but if you find yourself a nice 'cairn' (stone wind break thingy - they're everywhere) and get comfy for the day, you won't know a thing about the wind! We hired bikes and cycled over the (very rough!) track to the other 'top end' of the island 14 miles away - what a lovely day, a lovely little fishing village very like a little Cornish fishing village with a smashing Spanish bar for a great value lunch. I adore Corralejo - that mix of friendliness, self-aware 'end of the pier' feel and shops selling 'tat', but no hard sell; great beaches, friendly people and cheap buses. What more could you want from a holiday? The tripadvisor forum is full of helpful people - ask there for ideas/reassurance. We're off to Lanzarote next week, and the only reason for that is that the flights were cheaper to get there for our week (tied to school holiday dates) and on the basis that if we don't like Lanzarote, we can always head to Corralejo for the day via the ferry!! Since booking, lots of friends have told is that Lanzarote is lovely too, so I'm feeling quite reassured. And impatient.
Reason for edit? Can spell, can't type!

The weather was very dodgy on the western islands earlier this year (Jan/Feb), but Lanzarote and Fuerteventura were much better. Have been on Fuerte last few years in November - last year was a bit hit&miss, but normally good - highest chance of rain usually Jan/Feb.
  • It'll be pot luck at that time of year. Could be great or could be cloudy/rainy. In my experience of Canary holidays, it has been:

Tenerife, early January - hot and sunny every day, swimming in the sea.

Tenerife, early May - hot and sunny every day, swimming in the sea, but appararently it had been cooler and rainy in the previous week.

Tenerife - early April - half of week cloudy and stormy, last 3 days warmer and sunny but not the best.

Lanzarote, early October - couple of cloudy days but mostly hot and sunny, swimming in the sea. We could see Corraljo from Playa Blanca but didn't get round to a trip over, maybe another time.

Lanzarote and Fuerteventura might be drier than Tenerife etc due to being closer to Africa and further away from storms crossing the Atlantic.
