RBS a pain in my side

I have been banking with RBS for about 4 months now, Everything has been fine no complaints. Tuesday i decided to sign up for online banking and whilst i was at it i decided to open a savings account to boot. The following day i received an email letting me know my savings account had been open and two text's letting me know my card and pin is in the post.
So that evening i went to log in to my account to transfer money into my shiny new savings account "Your username and password have been revoked- please contact helpdesk" to which i did and was told to contact the fraud department and he gave me a phone number.
I rang that number and spoke to a young man who was extremely sharp towards me, He wasn't forthcoming with much information except for my account had been frozen. I panicked, Are my funds still in my account? i asked "yes". Has my computer got a virus? "no" so i prodded him for answers and was getting nowhere eventually i sensed his his frustration eventually he came out with "Sir the bank is managing your account out of the business" i was shocked what did i do i asked him, "You broke the terms and conditions of the account". I was stunned. I was given the number to what i know now is the closing department and was told to ring them the next day as they were currently closed.
I rang them the next day after work and was greeted with a pre recorded message informing me that they were closed and only operate Mon-Fri between 9-5!!! No good to me as i work from 7:30 to 5.
I rang back the original number and was greeted by another young gentleman with a better temperament about him, All he could do was inform me to wait for a letter as all information was in there.
After Googeling the forum and finding out accounts in this nature usually suspected fraud i was stunned!
Now on another note the week before i signed up to experian online and checkmyfile and noticed there were linked address's that i have never lived at nor have any financial association with, Added to that a finance company have marked a default against me at my old address for 5k that i have nothing to do with, Ironically i only joined experian and checkmyfile to guage my standings in order to finance a new van.
In regards to the incorrect information i have already been onto experian to remove all 33! linked address's with 5 variations to them! I have also sent a letter to the finance company requesting them to remove the incorrectly marked default as it is not mine or fraudulent.
It has been 5 days now with no banking facilities whatsoever!!( God forbid my drill breaks and i need to replace it ) I have missed out on this weeks wage which from experience will take a week to reach the main contractor and another week till they repay me as invoices are all authorised for payment once a week. The real kicker is today i received my brand new savings card and pin and a paying in book but still no letter telling me why im being refused access to my funds.
I have always kept my account in good standing order, No overdraft, No loans, No bounced direct debits.
I am aware i am not entitled to Rbs's facilities however i am far from happy in the way i have been treated over the phone, Denied to my finances and as im self employed this is a real pain And to boot ill put good money on the fact there is a juicy Cifas heading my way
If anyone could advise me how to proceed next i would be extremely grateful. I am extremely disgruntled by how they have handled this and intend to fight this as im not in the espionage business and all this cloak and dagger business is not for me.
Thanks in advance
Bob

You'll be lucky if they tell you why they closed the account. It sounds like opening the new account has caused RBS to re-evaluate the information held by CRAs and that has resulted in them deciding they do not wish to do business with you. Your issue is with the CRAs and whoever supplied the incorrect information to them.0

agrinnall thanks for your reply,
"Your issue is with the CRAs and whoever supplied the incorrect information to them"
I do agree, I have set the ball rolling with these. However my main greivience is Rbs's Shoot first ask questions later attitude. Having a gander at the forums it seems they are an atrocious bank to be with and only opened with them on the recommendation of a friend.
It clearly states in their terms and conditions regarding immediate account closures:
"7.1 Closure by us
7.1.1 We can close your account immediately if:
(a) we reasonably suspect that you have given us false information; (Which i have not, Although the incorrect details with the CRA's would suggest otherwise. Had someone called me to enquire/probe i could of given them my information over the last 15 years and would of been happy to provide supporting documents to prove!)
(b) we reasonably suspect that your account is being used for an illegal purpose; (which i have not in the slightest, unless registering for the national lottery to take a punt at winning the £115 million is illegal)
(c) you behave in a threatening or violent manner towards our staff; or (My only dealings with branch staff was on opening my account and had i acted in that manner surely they would of refused me to open an account in the first place)
(d) you were not entitled to open your account"
(I received a letter on the same day i received my debit card informing me that my application was unsuccessful. I then contacted the bank who informed me to disregard the letter as it was sent in error)
Had i been issued with 30 days to move my accounts elsewhere and still had access to my facilities this would not be an issue.
However to be indirectly accused of attempting to fraudulently deceive RBS in order to gain their facilities and treated in the same manner as a fraudster is appalling this has genuinely caused me no end of frustration/stress.
Rbs have acted on incorrect information reported against me without so much as choosing to enquire from myself and then making a decision had they not been satisfied.
I leave you with this thought: If the police had overnight gained rights to directly imprison anyone they suspected of wrong doing without going to court and it was then up to those individuals imprisoned to prove themselves innocent the country would be in an uproar.

Just a quick though, If i popped into my local bank to open a new account with documents showing my actions against the incorrect reporting against my credit report added to doc's to prove my last 15 years address history.
Do you guys think this would suffice enough to get a new account opened?
Thanks in advance

It's doubtful they would over turn a decision.
The people you need to be chasing are ones that have registered the incorrect information.
It also makes me wonder knowing their was incorrect adverse information on your credit file why you applied for any type of account prior to it being rectified.Im an ex employee RBS GroupHowever Any Opinion Given On MSE Is Strictly My Own0 -
I realise you're angry with RBS, however I suspect most banks would have been extremely suspicious in the circumstances.
I'd be wary of applying for any further accounts until your CRA problems have been resolved.0
