First Cashback Credit Card. When and where to use and not use it?

Applying for my first credit card soon (cashback) but slightly confused on where and on what I should be using it.
I want to use it everyday, like a debit card (but paying off in full every month) on petrol and shopping and online shopping. Is this fine?
Where Should I avoid using a CC?
Thanks

Yes, this is fine.
You should avoid ATMs, bureau de change, anything related to gambling. Also all companies that charge extra for CC payments like, say, travel agents, car dealers.
Beware that some shops don't accept CCs and most bills can't be paid by a CC.0 -
And when not to use it... when you can't pay it off in full!0

ALWAYS HAVE A DIRECT DEBIT SET UP FOR THE MINIMUM PAYMENT ON YOUR CREDIT CARDS, REGARDLESS OF WHETHER YOU PLAN TO LOGIN AND PAY EACH MONTH.0
